Thursday House Session Could Pick Up Workers' Comp

After several days away from the Capitol, Illinois lawmakers will be are headed back to Springfield to finish where they left off. Illinois News Network has more:

Meanwhile the Appropriations-Human Services Committee will hold a subject matter hearing on the Human Services Department employing Beth Purvis as the Secretary of Education. Recent media reports highlighted Purvis’ $250,000 salary coming out of Human Services. After committees the House will hold their scheduled session at 1pm Thursday. Governor Rauner did not call for a special session so there is no per diem or travel reimbursements for lawmakers.
