Meanwhile the Appropriations-Human Services Committee will hold a subject matter hearing on the Human Services Department employing Beth Purvis as the Secretary of Education. Recent media reports highlighted Purvis’ $250,000 salary coming out of Human Services. After committees the House will hold their scheduled session at 1pm Thursday. Governor Rauner did not call for a special session so there is no per diem or travel reimbursements for lawmakers.
