You can’t even call it reform. That’s the message from several associations representing businesses when talking about a workers’ compensation measure making its way through the General Assembly.
House Bill 1287, if passed by the Senate and signed by the Governor, would do several things including create a taskforce to investigate savings from a 2011 reform measure, codify current legal practice and set procedures to determine injuries incurred from previous employment.

A Senate committee will take up the issue, but a Senate Democrat spokesperson says don’t expect the measure on the Senate floor Tuesday.
