Second Round of Funding Suspensions Announced

Another round of fund suspensions scheduled for the beginning of next month brings the total to nearly a billion dollars, but that’s not even a quarter of what is estimated to be a nearly $4 billion hole in the coming fiscal year budget passed by Democrat majorities.

With two weeks left before the next fiscal year is set to begin and no balanced budget in place Governor Bruce Rauner announced a slew of freezes totalling $420 million. That’s in addition to $400 million in fund suspensions announced earlier this month.

Democrat majorities in both the House and Senate passed a budget that has a multi-billion hole without offering up any new revenues.
