Blues' Armstrong Named Team Canada GM For World Cup

 width=St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong will be in charge of Canada's entry for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

Hockey Canada made the announcement Monday, giving Armstrong the general manager duties for the team that will compete in a two-week tournament that will feature eight teams in September 2016.

Armstrong has been the Blues' general manager since 2010 and will be part of a Hockey Canada management team for the eighth time. He also served as general manager for the 2009 IIHF World Championship team that won a silver medal and was part of the group that helped Canada win gold at the 2010 and 2014 Olympics.
