Lance Lynn returns to the St. Louis Cardinals rotation on Thursday when they go after a three-game sweep of the Miami Marlins at Marlins Ballpark.
Lynn landed on the disabled list June 12 with a forearm strain that's bothered him since his second start. He's 4-4 on the year with a 3.07 ERA.
Lynn, who's had at least 15 wins in three straight seasons and logged 200-plus innings in each of the last two, went 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in the three starts before the injury.
Miami will counter with veteran right-hander Dan Haren, who is 6-4 with a 3.19 ERA. Haren lost his second straight start on Friday in Cincinnati, as he allowed two runs and four hits in 6 1/3 innings.
