>>Aldridge To Join Spurs

After losing a classic, seven-game series in the Western Conference quarterfinals to the Los Angeles Clippers, the San Antonio Spurs were in search of a way to shift the balance of power.

They have done that Saturday by reportedly signing star free-agent forward LaMarcus Aldridge.

In a tweet Saturday, Aldridge said, "I'm happy to say I'm going home to Texas and will be a Spur!! I'm excited to join the team and be close to my family and friends," ending the heated competition for the four-time All-Star's services.

Yahoo! Sports reported that he will sign a four-year, $80 million contract when the NBA free agent moratorium ends on July 9.

The 29-year-old Aldridge spent the first nine seasons of his career with Portland, which acquired him in a 2006 draft-night trade after the Chicago Bulls selected him with the No. 2 pick from Texas.

In addition to the Spurs, the Trail Blazers, Suns, Heat and Lakers were among the teams trying to land Aldridge.

>>DeAndre Jordan To Sign With Dallas

The Dallas Mavericks and center DeAndre Jordan have reached an agreement on a four-year contract, according to multiple sources.

The deal can not be signed until July 9.

Jordan averaged career highs last season with the Clippers, scoring 11.5 points and grabbing 15 rebounds per game.

The Mavericks receive a durable big man in Jordan, who has played in 322 straight games which is the longest active streak in the league.

width=>>PG Rondo To Sign With Sacramento

The Sacramento Kings have reportedly come to terms with point guard Rajon Rondo on a one-year deal that will pay the four-time all-star $10 million.

Rondo, 29, was a key member of Boston's 2008 championship team, and he made grew into one of the league's premier passers and on-ball defenders during his eight-plus years with the Celtics.

But he was traded to Dallas midway through the 2014-15 season and famously clashed with Mavs coach Rick Carlisle, leading to him missing the team's final three playoff games. Dallas fell to the Rockets in five games in the Western Conference quarterfinals.

His career numbers also dipped across the board, averaging just 9.3 points and 6.5 assists in 46 regular-season games with Dallas.

Rondo will compete with Darren Collison for the starting point guard spot.

>>Knicks Sign Robin Lopez

After missing out on a number of prized free agents, the New York Knicks have reportedly agreed on a four-year contract with center Robin Lopez.

The deal, which cannot be finalized until July 9, is worth a reported $54 million.

Lopez, a first-round draft choice of the Suns in 2008, spent four years in Phoenix before leaving for New Orleans in free agency. He grew into a dependable starting center in his lone season with the Pelicans and has been a centerpiece in each of Portland's last two playoff runs.

For his career, Lopez owns averages of 8.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game, and he will be a significant upgrade defensively for New York.

>>Blazers Agree On Extension With PG Lillard

The Portland Trail Blazers and guard Damian Lillard have reportedly come to terms on a 5-year, $120 million contract extension.

The Oregonian reports the sides came to terms verbally on the deal, which can't be officially announced until July 9. It's a maximum long-term extension for the two-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year.

The new deal will start in the 2016-17 season and will run through the 2020-21 season, according to the newspaper.

Last season, Lillard averaged 21 points, 6.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds. He has started all 82 games each season over his three-year career.

According to the Oregonian, Lillard is on his way to Los Angeles with the hope of meeting free agent LaMarcus Aldridge so he can re-sign with the Blazers. Aldridge has already met twice with the Lakers and is being wooed by nearly half a dozen teams.

>>Wade Returning To Miami

Dwyane Wade will remain with the Miami Heat for at least one more season, telling the Associated Press Thursday that he has accepted a $20 million offer from the team the perennial All-Star guard has spent his entire career.

Heat president of basketball operations Pat Riley announced the team intends to re-sign wade once the NBA moratorium period for signings is lifted.

The decision, which cannot be made official until July 9, comes just days after Wade declined his $16.1 player option for the 2015-16 season.

Wade had taken less money in past negotiations with the Heat in order to enable the team to bring in other free agents, most notably LeBron James and Chris Bosh during the franchise's run of four consecutive NBA Finals appearances from 2011-14. With James now in Cleveland and Miami slipping to also-ran status this past season, Wade was seeking a more lucrative deal while still hoping to finish out his career with the team.

Wade becomes the third cornerstone player to re-up with the team in recent days. Forward Luol Deng exercised his 2015-16 option on Monday and the Heat reportedly reached a five-year, $90 million agreement with point guard Goran Dragic on Wednesday's opening day of free agency.

>>Warriors Bring Back Green

The Golden State Warriors and Draymond Green have reportedly agreed on a five-year contract worth roughly $85 million.

Green, a restricted free agent, came into his own as a valuable two-way asset for the NBA-champion Warriors this past season.

The 25-year-old forward averaged career bests in his offensive numbers and finished second to Kawhi Leonard in Defensive Player of the Year voting. The Michigan State product averaged 11.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

>>Shumpert Staying In Cleveland

Guard Iman Shumpert will stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers after agreeing to a four-year, $40 million dollar contract, according to several reports on Wednesday.

Shumpert, a restricted free agent, joined the Cavaliers along with J.R. Smith from the New York Knicks in January as part of a three-team trade.

He averaged 8.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 62 games overall this past season, including 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists with the Eastern Conference-champion Cavs.

The Cavs also learned Wednesday that star forward Kevin Love will remain with the team, reportedly on a five-year, $110 million deal.
