UPDATED: Tornado Watch in Effect til 11pm Monday; CENCOM Event Canceled

 width=Expect storms unlike anything we've seen in a long time tonight.

That's the message from the National Weather Service to DeWitt County safety officials.

DeWitt County Emergency Management Agency Director Teresa Barnett and DeWitt County Sheriff Jered Shofner stopped by the Regional Radio studios Monday afternoon to inform the public of what to expect, and Barnett says, it isn't encouraging.

Sheriff Shofner says the open house tonight for the renovated CENCOM center has been canceled.
