Lincoln Leaders Gearing Up For First 'Arts in the Park'

Art, wine, and music are among the many themes on display this weekend in Lincoln for "Art in the Park".

Approximately 30 artists are set to converge on Latham Park in downtown Lincoln. According to Cara Barr with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, there will be a lot of other things going on in conjunction with the art show.

Nicole Cox is the Chamber Director, she explains Friday night, things kick off with a 4-course dinner that will be paired with wine. She explains the night also features a buffet and live jazz music.

The live entertainment will be just off the square near the art fair so everyone can enjoy it. Barr says their lineup includes the Lincoln Theater promoting their upcoming show along with others that go Saturday and Sunday.

Wineries from across the stae will be on hand to provide those attending with samples. According to Barr, there will be a few craft beer brewers there courtesy of the Young Professionals Network of Logan County.

Arts in the Park is this weekend in downtown Lincoln. The Arts in the Park is an expansion event from the original Art and Balloon Festival.
