The Clinton Board of Education Tuesday night approved a temporary budget for the upcoming year.
Superintendent Kurt Nettles explains passing a temporary budget allows the district to start spending money and they will pass a permanent budget at their September meeting.

Budget officer for the District, Lynn Westhoff explains the temporary budget that gets approved in September won't actually be official because there will transfer of money from fund to fund and other transactions. She does note the district expects a three-quarter million dollar deficit.

The Board approved the temporary budget with a voice vote.
