The Illinois House voted Tuesday to reject a two-percent cost of living pay raise for lawmakers. Speaker Michael Madigan says the rollback goes further.

Governor Rauner urged Madigan to sign on to a GOP proposal to reject the pay hikes, but Madigan says he went his own way and saved more money for taxpayers.

The Senate still must approve the bill. It isn't in session this week.
