A day after a top administrator resigns from a job at the University of Illinois her pay day to quit becomes public.
The U of I says that out-going Phyllis Wise will get $400,000 as part of her resignation. Wise was already making more than $500,000 a year according to a university salary database.
The payment was part of her contract that included a retention bonus of $100,000 a year for each year she was at the university.
Her final day will be August 12.
