Tour DeWitt Returns This Month

width=It's not too late to get registered for a returning event to DeWitt County.

Tour DeWitt is returning to Clinton to benefit the Children's Advocacy Center. Steve Lobb (right with his wife, Dana) heads a group of organizers that are bringing back the bike ride in August. According to Lobb, he is very passionate about the work of those at the CAC and wanted to find a way to benefit them.

Lobb indicates the event will have four legs. There will be a beginner and intermediate course and then two more challenging courses. Lobb says it is a non-competitive ride he believes anyone can participate in.

According to Lobb, a lot of community groups and businesses have stepped up to cover the cost of the rides so their registration fees can all go back to the Child Protection Network.

The event is August 29 starting at 6 am but pre-registration ends this Friday. Lobb explains a registration by Friday gets you a 'Tour DeWitt' t-shirt along with getting your name entered into a drawing for an iPad mini.

Additionally, following the race, a spaghetti lunch will be served at the Clinton United Methodist Church starting at 10:30.
