Superintendent Proposes Outside Consulting For Upcoming Planning

width=As the Clinton School Board of Education and their new leader prepare to enter the strategic planning process, the Superintendent proposed Tuesday night using outside help to evaluate themselves.

Superintendent Curt Nettles (Pictured left with Board President John Blythe) approached the Board of Education about seeking out the Regional Office of Education (ROE) or the State Board of Education to provide an evaluation of the Board as a whole. He explains it might be worth while given new members to the Board.

One of those new Board members is Ron Connor, who also served as Principal in the District for over 20 years and has been through a similar process. He says he is very much in favor of the evaluation through one of the two divisions of oversight.

Former Board of Education President Buck Carter too has been through the process several times and commends the idea. He feels the it is very worth while as a long time board of education member and it would be beneficial for the new members.

Former Board President Rod Wertz also spoke in favor of the idea and gave no preference to which organization came in to help.

Nettles indicated he would be putting together a plan of action and gather cost information for the Board to make a decision in the near future as he desires to begin the planning process very soon.
