Monticello Main Street is looking forward to another year of fun on the downtown square.

Kerry Redshaw is Director of Monticello Main Street and indicates they are hoping this year's Monticellobration will be as successful as in year's past. She indicates their theme highlights the golden era of the railroad and Redfield indicates it coincides nicely with what is going on at the Railway Museum.

New to the event this year, Redshaw indicates they've added a car show to their lineup. She explains it's something that festival goers will see first thing when they arrive and hopes the cars lined up lead to the downtown area.

Redshaw indicates they hope to set the mood of the day with the music on the main stage. She explains they have a couple local acts that Monticello and central Illinois residents might be familiar with.

The Monticellobration runs all day Saturday and part of Sunday with various events early in the day.
