DeWitt County Human Resource Center Executive Director Lynn Scoville says things are not getting better and explains they are down to bare bones of staff and services.

Scoville says they can maintain their core services until the end of the year thanks to a local tax revenue and the County's largest employer. Scoville explains the 708 Mental Health Board is advancing them their share of taxes and Exelon is stepping up as well.

The frustration continues to mount for Scoville and those in her position across the state. She points to a statement Gov. Bruce Rauner made in August where he said "Illinois cannot afford to be compassionate without being competitive". Scoville takes exception to that.

For Apple n' Pork weekend, HRC held a special event at their location on Route 54. Scoville says that went over very well to get their message out and raise awareness of everything that they do for the most vulnerable of society.
