As Illinoisans swap out flip-flops for sweaters this fall season, Chris Miller with the National Weather Service in Lincoln reminds us that the arrival of cooler temperatures doesn't necessarily mean the end of severe weather.
Miller says severe weather outbreaks occur even between the months of October and February-citing a devastating outbreak of tornadoes that leveled the Illinois towns of Washington and Gifford in November of 2013.
