NBA announces addition of replay center referees for video review

The NBA has been working hard on trying to make the replay review process during games as streamlined and accurate as possible. They introduced the replay center to try to help out with the proper angles and making the process a lot quicker, as not to really interrupt the flow of NBA games in an egregious way. They're adding more depth and quickness to the process now, announcing they will staff the replay center with current NBA referees to make decisions on certain replay situations.

The league announced replay center referees will be responsible for out-of-bounds calls, shots at the end of a period, shot-clock violations on made baskets, goal-tending calls and four other types of plays. Reviews will still be triggered by the officials on the court, but once those plays are marked for review, the replay center officials will relay the administration of the call.

This is a big improvement to the process in theory, and will hopefully bring more accuracy, clarity and quickness to NBA games.
