DJWH Taking on Minor Facilities Updates

The Dr. John Warner Hospital continues their efforts to modernize their facilities.

While the goal of the modernization is small and inexpensive work, one area the hospital will tackle in the near future is their outdoor lighting. According to DJWH Board President, Aaron Kammeyer, the parking lot lighting is their target because of poor lighting and inconsistencies.

Among the first projects in a rejuvenation for a modern look in the hospital is the entry way. Kammeyer says the goal is to make the city owned facility more inviting.

Kammeyer adds they are also seeking ways to become more efficient. He says energy costs could be cut down as they have aging systems, which are costing them more money because of maintenance.

Kammeyer explains they are going to expand the hours of operations at the Family Medical Center for a while. Monday through Friday they will remain open until 7 pm and then being open Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm.

He says it all comes back to trying to meet the needs of the community.
