ISU, EIU, Western All Win Saturday

Tre Roberson passed for 304 yards and three touchdowns, leading Illinois State to a 38-2 victory over Missouri State on Saturday.

Anthony Warrum caught all three of Roberson's touchdown passes for Illinois State (5-1, 3-0 Missouri Valley Conference), scoring on receptions of 20 and 34 yards in the first quarter and a 75-yarder in the second. Warrum finished with a career-high 194 yards on seven receptions. Marshaun Coprich rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns, setting the Redbirds' record for career all-purpose yardage with 4,136.

Missouri State (1-5, 0-3) avoided the shutout when George Moreira was stopped for a 2-yard loss in the end zone for a safety. Jason Randall carried it 17 times for 62 yards for the Bears and Breck Ruddick added 57 yards on seven attempts.

Illinois State led 31-0 and had 379 total yards by halftime.

Nick Bruno kicked a 26-yard overtime field goal and Jourdan Wickliffe intercepted Ronald Butler's pass on the ensuing possession helping Eastern Illinois to a 25-22 victory over Tennessee State on Saturday.

Devin Church finished with 125 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Panthers (3-3, 3-0 Ohio Valley Conference) and Jalen Whitlow had 120 yards passing with a touchdown, a 62-yard strike to Addison Bounds.

Trailing 19-14 with 10:55 left Church raced in from 25 yards out to give Eastern Illinois a 22-19 lead. Tennessee State answered back on the subsequent possession, driving 32 yards on eight plays to set up a career-long 50 yard field goal by Lane Clark which sent the game into overtime.

Butler finished with 125 yards passing and 104 yards rushing with two total TD's for the Tigers (3-3, 0-3).

Nathan Knuffman kicked a field goal and David Griffith made a game-clinching interception, all in the final 3:18, as Western Illinois defeated Northern Iowa 24-19 on Saturday.

The Leathernecks (4-2, 3-0 Missouri Valley Conference) led all the way, taking a 7-0 first-quarter lead when Aaron Diggs snagged an interception and ran 95 yards to score. Knuffman's final field goal was from 23 yards.

Northern Iowa (2-4, 0-3) rallied with a pair of TDs after halftime - Deiondre' Hall scoring on a 32-yard interception return, and Aaron Bailey punching across from the 5. Bailey's TD pulled the Panthers to 21-19 after a two-point conversion pass failed with 6:35 remaining. Hall's second pick this season makes four career interceptions, breaking the school record.

Trenton Norvell completed 25 of 36 passes for 263 yards. Nikko Watson gained 115 yards on 35 carries.

UNI's Sawyer Kollmorgen and Aaron Bailey were each intercepted once and combined for 170 yards passing.
