City Continues To Discuss Yard Brush Pick Up System

 width=As the City of Clinton continues their discussion and decision making on the future of the yard waste clean up service offered by the Streets Department, City officials seem to be leaning to keeping it in place but tighter regulation.

Clinton Mayor Roger Cyrulik (right) indicated Monday night at the Clinton City Council meeting, something needs to be done. He explains they are balancing keeping the service in place but finding tighter regulations to make things more efficient.

 width=According to Commissioner John Wise, (left) the new rules are coming together to prevent able bodied residents from who have the resources to properly remove their own brush, however, choose to leave an over-abundance of brush for city crews.

Wise points to the City getting out of the trash collecting business because of the abuse they started to see from residents in that service. He believes a system is needed.
