Clinton Crimestoppers Seeking Information in Counterfeit Money Circulation

The Clinton Police Department is seeking your help and information in solving fraud complaints from many of our local businesses.

 width=On and around October 21st 2015, the Clinton Police Department responded to reports from several local Clinton businesses who reported un-identified suspect or suspects passing counterfeit United States currency, namely in denominations of twenty dollar bills.

The Clinton Police Department is reminding the public to be extra vigilant to counterfeit money being circulated in our community and to notify the Clinton Police Department immediately if questionable currency is located . If citizens are interested in educating themselves as to the authenticity of their money, they are encouraged to visit the website www.uscurrency.gov

Crimestoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1000.00 when a felony arrest is made as a result of information that you have provided. Anyone with any information regarding these counterfeit bank notes or any other crimes or wanted fugitives is asked to contact the Clinton Area Crime stoppers at 217-935-3333.
