Clinton Burning Regulations Reminder

As the fall nights begin to get cooler, the popularity small evening fires are still prominent.

Because of this and extremely dry weather in central Illinois the last several weeks, local authorities are reminding residents to be very careful right now. Clinton Police Chief Ben Lowers indicates those need to be put out by 11 pm.

As leaves begin to fall this fall, the Chief reminds residents, burning of brush and leaves is not allowed in city limits.

The City has the yard waste facility on Cain Street that can be taken advantage of by any community resident.

Additionally, the Chief notes the City Streets Department will soon begin their leaf pickup program for the fall.
