Lawmaker Urgin Meeting of All Legislative Leaders

The Governor and legislative leaders have been meeting off and on to resolve the budget stalemate at the statehouse, but its been way more off than on.

One lawmaker wants that to change and is doing what she can to get them together on a much more regular schedule. Democratic Senator Julie Morrison of suburban Deerfield has introduced a bill that would require the Governor and four leaders to participate in a weekly pubic meeting.
