The state of Illinois, at least the Attorney General in Illinois, is teaming up with 17 other states to support new limits on power plants.

A court motion was filed today in a federal appellate court that supports new Federal limits on power plants and plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Illinois is in opposition of Indiana, Missouri and Wisconsin.

They are among more than 24 states that are challenging the limits.

Republican Governor Bruce Rauner’s administration says his office is still reviewing the rule.
