Durbin Continues To Hammer For Profit Colleges

Senator Dick Durbin isn't going anywhere in his battle against for profit colleges.
Despite a voice that was under the weather, his message came through loud and clear that for profit colleges are taking a disproportionate share of student aid and is triggering nearly half of the student loan defaults, despite the fact the schools are only home to about ten percent of America's college students.

Durbin says even one of the forefathers of the movement is appalled at what's occurred.

Durbin noted Murphy saw a clear shift in priorities before he left the school.

Speaking of Wall Street, Durbin says the industry's been in a state of decline for the last half decade with Wall Street downgrading the for-profit colleges and universities because they believe this model is flawed and can’t be sustained.
