Gas Prices To Remain Low

According to the most recent Daily Fuel Gauge Report from AAA, Illinois is currently averaging just $1.99 per gallon. That’s nearly 90 cents less than what prices were a year ago. The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is just $2.05.

Patrick DeHaan, of GasBuddy.com, fills us in on how people are spending less to “fill her up.”

DeHaan believes low prices will stick around for at least another month to two months.

 width=The lowest gas prices this morning appear to be in the Decatur area at $1.57, according to GasBuddy.com.

Gas prices in Clinton this morning range from $1.74 to $1.76. Wapella has gas for $1.69 while Heyworth has gas for $1.65.

Gas in Maroa is a $1.68. Gas in Decatur ranges from $1.57 to $1.63.

Prices in Lincoln this morning are hovering around $1.86. Monticello has fuel for $1.79 and in Champaign gas ranges from $1.64 to $1.69.

Gas in Bloomington ranges from $1.57 to $1.67.
