State Budget Impacting Clinton High School Students

width=Administrators at Clinton High School are scrambling to provide their students with access to necessary college entrance exams.

In the past, the State of Illinois has provided the necessary funds for the ACT college entrance exams, however, this year that may change. Principal Jerry Wayne indicates because of the budget mess, those funds aren't available, and so too may be the ACTs.

Wayne says this change is something that no one has experienced before. He explains it will directly effect parents of the students, but Wayne hopes to still be able to provide the tests for his kids.

According to Wayne, he has thought about reaching out to a group like the Educational Foundation for assistance. He says the CCEF is tremendous to them and the district but he realizes there is only a certain amount of funds to go around and wants to see what comes of the opportunity he has pursued.
