Ole Miss star Robert Nkemdiche has been charged with marijuana possession by Atlanta police after an investigation into the incident that ended with Nkemdiche's 15-foot fall over a wall outside a Buckhead hotel.

width=Authorities told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that "approximately 7 rolled marijuana cigarettes" were found in the hotel room where Nkemdiche reportedly broke a window, walked outside and then fell over the wall.

Nkemdiche was found conscious and breathing when police responded to the hotel at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, and the star defensive lineman was transported to Grady Hospital in Atlanta.

Nkemdiche was named a to the AP All-America second team on Sunday after posting 29 tackles (seven for loss), three sacks, two pass break-ups and seven quarterback hurries this season for Ole Miss.

The Rebels star is among the top draft prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft, ranked fourth in the CBS Sports draft prospect rankings. At this time, there is no change to his status for Ole Miss' appearance in the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma State on Jan. 1.

Hugh Freeze said Monday he has spoken to Nkemdiche and has been assured he is "fine" and "going to be fine." He acknowledged that the talented lineman made a mistake but would not lay out any potential punishment or reaction from the school.
