Former-Five Star QB Murray To Leave Texas A&M

Texas A&M may have gone from having a quarterback controversy to not having a quarterback at all ... in a span of one week.

width=Last week, it was announced that Kyle Allen was transferring from the school, which seemed to clear the road for Kyler Murray to become the Aggies starter. One small problem: Apparently Murray doesn't plan on returning in 2016, either.

GigEm247 reports that Murray and his family met with Kevin Sumlin for the second straight day on Wednesday, and that "some of the players are starting to talk and they think he is gone but there are other people that are apparently trying to convince him to stay." It's also mentioned that the Aggies began bowl practice on Wednesday afternoon, and Murray wasn't there.

Neither Kyle Allen or Kyler Murray had great seasons for the Aggies last year, but both are young with a lot of room to grow and plenty of potential. If both are leaving College Station, that means that Jake Hubenak (and his 27 career pass attempts) is the most experienced quarterback on the A&M roster.

The Aggies would likely then be in the market for a transfer quarterback of their own, like possibly Oklahoma's Trevor Knight.

As for where Murray could go from here, it's hard to know for sure, but you have to think Charlie Strong wouldn't mind making room for him in Austin.
