Two Top Recruits Flip Commitments To Ohio State

width=Ohio State had a big recruiting Monday as two of Maryland's top verbal pledges flipped to the Buckeyes. Four-star quarterback Dwayne Haskins (Potomac, Md.) and four-star outside linebacker Keandre Jones (Olney, Md.) both changed their commitments from the Terps to the Buckeyes within an hour of each other on Monday.

Haskins, the top recruit from the state of Maryland, is rated as the third best pro-style quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports. He made his change of commitment public on Monday, though he had already let the Buckeyes know he would be coming to Columbus back in December when he took a visit, according to 247Sports.

Jones was Maryland's third-best recruit, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, and is the ninth-best outside linebacker in the 2016 class. The losses of Haskins and Jones are big blows for new Maryland coach D.J. Durkin, who's 2016 class now has just 10 commits (three four-stars, seven three-stars).

As for Ohio State, the additions of Haskins and Jones were not the only big moves it made Monday.

Coveted four-star wide receiver Binjimen Victor (Pompano Beach, Fla.), solidified a tremendous day for the Buckeyes by committing to Ohio State and pushing them over LSU into the No. 1 spot in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.
