Group Wants Voters To Know Who Funds Elected Officials

Illinois voters need to be more aware of how their elected officials are funded and that’s the goal of the weekly Illinois Sunshine reports from the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.

Sarah Brune (brew-knee), executive director for Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, says the public could grow frustrated trying to work the Illinois State Board of Education website to find information about political contributions.

Brune says voters can sign up for the weekly “Illinois Sunshine” reports by signing up through the website Illinois Sunshine (dot) org, where they can also do searches for candidates, committees and fund transfers.
