For months, State Representative Bill Mitchell has preached compromise when it comes to agreeing to a state budget.
Yesterday, the Forsyth Republican called the Governor's call for compromise the most important part of his speech.

Rep. Mitchell has prepared legislation to do just that. If the legislature doesn't pass a budget, they don't get paid and if they pass a budget that is deemed unbalanced by the Auditor General, they also won't get paid until it is balanced.
