Community Readies For May Days

The downtown will be buzzing with activity starting Thursday night as the Clinton Chamber of Commerce again hosts May Days.

Marian Brisard it the Executive Director of the Clinton Chamber and says things kick off Thursday evening and run through Sunday. Everything takes place on the square.

Like in years past, the festival will open with an opening ceremony and local veterans groups do a flag raising ceremony and local minister, Cody Monkman will say a prayer to kick things off.

Thursday will feature karaoke and race cars on the square. Brisard is excited about this because it will be a promotion of the cars you might see at the Farmer City Raceway.

There will be several street closures starting Thursday night and Friday night and throughout the weekend on the downtown Clinton Square.
