Bigger and better is the goal of a Clinton group for a tradition that takes place in communities across the country.
The annual fireworks display in Clinton has, for many years, been funded through the efforts by Brady Realtors in Clinton but this year, the Celebrate Clinton Association has taken over that effort says President of the group, Patrick Peterson.
Like efforts in the past, Celebrate Clinton battled find enough revenue for this year's show. Peterson says the City of Clinton made a contribution to not only the fireworks display, but also their activities on the square. Additionally, they called on area businesses and individual donors.
This year's fireworks display will be on the west side of Clinton at dusk. In the event of rain, a rain date has been set for Saturday night, July 9.
