Clinton High School Football Coach Resigns

Regional Radio News has learned Clinton High School Football Coach John Hayden has resigned his position as football coach.
 
Hayden confirmed to Regional Radio News late Thursday his resignation but did not comment. 
 
Superintendent Curt Nettles and Activities Director Barry Gurvey declined comment at this time.
 
In his seven years at Clinton High School, Hayden compiled a 20-52 record, leading the Maroons to the 4A playoffs last year, their first appearance in 11 years. 
 
The Clinton Board of Education would have to approve the resignation at their upcoming board meeting Tuesday night, November 15.
