GOVERNOR BRUCE RAUNER SPOKE TO THE ILLINOIS FARM BUREAU MONDAY…OUTLINING SOME OF HIS GOALS FOR THE AGRICULTURE COMMUNITY.
 
SPEAKING BEFORE BUREAU MEMBERS, GOVERNOR RAUNER DISCUSSED THE NEED FOR MORE AGRICULTURE TEACHERS. HE SAYS THERE IS CURRENTLY A SHORTAGE.
 
 
THE GOVERNOR ALSO DISCUSSED EFFORTS TO RAISE PRIVATE MONEY FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIRGROUNDS. HE SAYS HE’D ESPECIALLY LIKE TO GET THE COLISEUM BACK UP AND RUNNING.
 
 
ADDITIONALLY, THE GOVERNOR SAYS A TASK FORCE IS LOOKING INTO INCREASING THE POOL OF AGRICULTURE TEACHERS IN ILLINOIS. HE SAYS THERE IS A SHORTAGE, ESPECIALLY AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL.
