Warner Hospital and Health Services held their 5th Annual Swifty Swine 5K at Weldon Springs State Park this past Saturday. They had over 120 participants. The fastest runner came in at 19 minutes and 33 seconds. The 3.1 mile course takes you through out Weldon Springs on the roads and trails. At the end of the race, the runners and walkers are greeted with bacon and a yogurt buffet, homemade medals, great raffle prizes and top finisher trophies along with stretching provided by Warner Hospital Physical Therapy Team. For the little ones there is the Piglet Prance followed by a cup full of goodies for the children. The money raised from this event provides community wellness programs such as the Safe Sitter Class to area youth and First Aid & Safety to area businesses.
