City Council had their meeting on Monday, October 1st. The meeting was an overall honor as the council would announce the week of October 8th through the 14th DeWitt County Association For Home and Community Education Week.
Lucretia Crawford and Sona Hoke were at the meeting announcing that the governor made the week for the statewide organization and they wanted to do the same for DeWitt County.
The organization has been going on since 1935, providing social and economic well being in DeWitt County homes and neighborhoods. The organization has continued to evolve with the changing times and needs. Their mission is to enhance the lives of individuals and families through quality education programs.
Altogether the organization donated 2,706 hours to service projects last year.
