After School Programming at Blue Ridge

The Blue Ridge School District has been planning a new program for students this year.

The new after-school programming offers various different courses for almost all ages. Blue Ridge teamed up with the University Extension office to put together in different groups. Regional Radio News spoke with Blue Ridge Superintendent Susan Wilson about some of the new after-school programmings.

The program kicked off last week. The program has various age groups meeting just one day a week offering education in each group. One of the groups meeting up is kids 6th through 8th grade.

Kids even in the lower grades will have a chance to learn. Kids from kindergarten to 5th grade will learn agademics.

The cost for the classes is 15 dollars per class, and they meet up once a week. You can find more information on the after-school programs on the Blue Ridge school's website.
