FEMA reform passed the House

Rep. Rodney Davis has been working on a FEMA reform for Illinois in Congress. FEMA or Federal Emergency Management Agency is an agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security that helps coordinate the response to a disaster that has occurred in the United States and overwhelms the resources of local and state authorities.

Rep. Davis has been working to try and change the policy right now where Illinois would get assistance from the government in case of emergencies.

The current law goes by a formula on population said, Davis. The FEMA reform is to change that to not look at population but also into the locals affected.
