Heading down the home stretch in the 2018 election cycle, Republican challenger Darlene Senger is stressing she is more than qualified to oversee the state’s “checkbook” as Illinois Comptroller.

Among the ideas Senger is touting for small town governments and townships is a plan to pool all of their public safety pension funds for investing. She says Indiana already practices a similar system and is saving money in fees and consulting costs.
