Rep. Caulkins Talks New Governor, Super-Majority

State Representative Dan Caulkins is concerned about the super-majority that is held by Illinois Democrats in both the House and Senate.

The Republican Representative in the 101st district did say he was willing to hear out the ideas of Governor JB Pritzker. According to Caulkins, he and the Democratic Governor share similar views on some issues.

Caulkins says it will be interesting to see how Governor Pritzker and Speaker of the House Mike Madigan get along but points the Speaker was pushing for Pritzker to get elected.

Caulkins indicates he did get a chance to meet the Governor during his swearing-in ceremony, noting their meeting was brief but did say he looked forward to working with Pritzker and looked forward to hosting the Governor in his district in central Illinois.
