National Weather Service Warning of Dangerous Wind Chills This Week

The National Weather Service in Lincoln is warning Central Illinois residents, that we'll see record-breaking cold temperatures this week.

The Weather Service is predicting highs by mid-week to be only zero to 6-below, in the Regional Radio listening area, and wind chills from 30 to 45-below zero.

Weather Service officials say frostbite is likely if skin is exposed for as little as 10 minutes, and that at least 2 layers of clothing for the body, and covering the hands and face, is necessary in these type of conditions.
