National Weather Service Issues Wind Chill Advisory, Warning Thru Thursday

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a wind chill advisory for the Regional Radio listening area from 10pm Monday until noon Tuesday, and a wind chill warning from 6pm Tuesday until noon on Thursday.

The Weather Service says wind chills overnight Tuesday will be as low as 25 below zero, and wind chills overnight Wednesday will be as low as 50 below.

They add that wind chills this cold will cause frostbite in exposed skin, in as little as 5 to 10 minutes.

Wear multiple layers of clothing if you have to be outside, and make sure that feet, fingers and your face are also covered.
