Clinton Schools administration, teachers and support staff have new agreements for compensation.
Clinton Schools Superintendent Curt Nettles indicates, the teachers and district agreed to a new salary schedule earlier this spring and their new agreement increases starting salaries and a new compensation increase grid.
The increase coincides with a likely passage of a teacher minimum salary in Springfield. Nettles says the only concern he has about the legislation is Springfield stepping in and taking local control away from local school boards. He adds, the local increase also includes support staff.
The support staff increases were approved at last Tuesday night's regular Board of Education meeting.
