The summer concert series on the Clinton Square is set to return in the summer of 2019.

With performances at May Days to start things out, a number of different groups host various performances on the square throughout the summer. Clinton City Administrator Tim Followell says sometimes knowing who is hosting which concert is confusing but for the past few summers, the City has hosted an up and coming performer through their Music on Main and Center platform.

The City recently renewed their contract with the DeWitt County Human Resource Center of services on the downtown square with their plants and vegetation. Followell says they do a great job keeping the square very presentable and attractive.

Traditionally, the City has tried to host two concerts featuring up and coming artists but Followell indicates unforeseen circumstances have forced the City to postpone their first scheduled concert and host just a single performer this year.
