McIlroy, Spieth Say 'Big Three' Overdone

Rory McIlroy is nothing if not honest. The four-time major winner agrees with his colleagues in thinking talk of a Big Three (Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and McIlroy) or Big Four (throw in Rickie Fowler) or Big Anything is sort of silly. He talked to CNN recently about this idea.

McIlroy said quote - "We all want to beat each other regardless of whether we're one, two or three in the world. But it's good motivation, and hopefully this year I'm on the right path to do that."

Spieth told The Guardian recently quote - "I think people are searching for something that is only going to take time. It [such discussion] does nothing but kind of add stuff to our heads that may not need to be there."

Day, Spieth and McIlroy were all historically good last year and Fowler has won four times in the last nine months.
