>>Ohio State Coach Against Early Signing Period

National Signing Day wasn't even two weeks ago, which means that coaches are now giving their full attention to the 2017 class when it comes to recruiting. Now, as is often the case after signing day, the idea of having an earlier signing period is being floated.

Simply put, some coaches wonder why players who want to commit should have to wait until February to sign with their school. Ohio State's Urban Meyer is not one of them.

Meyer told Cleveland.com quote - “You're moving it just forward and forward, what if a kid wants to change his mind? (If) he wants to change his mind because of coaching changes or other circumstances, the player should be allowed to change his mind.”

>>Alabama Gets WR Transfer

Bowling Green wide receiver Gehrig Dieter is moving on to Alabama.

The receiver announced via his Twitter account Saturday that he'll be transferring to Alabama to finish his college career after graduating from Bowling Green in May.

This is a nice pickup for Alabama, as Dieter had quite a season with Bowling Green in 2015. The 6-foot-3 wideout caught 94 passes for 1,044 yards and 10 touchdowns.

While Calvin Ridley and ArDarius Stewart will continue to be Alabama's big-play options next year, odds are that the Tide hopes Dieter -- a MaxPreps All-American in high school -- can step in and fill the shoes of Richard Mullaney, which is somewhat ironic considering that Mullaney himself was a graduate transfer from Oregon State.

Since he's graduating in May, Dieter will not have to sit out the 2016 season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
