Minnesota used an 11-0 run to open the game and had a 40-32 halftime lead, but Illinois outscored the Golden Gophers 52-31 in the second half.

Minnesota was playing without leading scorer Nate Mason (13.8 points per game), as well as guards Kevin Dorsey and Dupree McBrayer, who all missed Sunday's game for a violation of team rules.

>>Wichita State Avenges Loss To Illinois State

Fred VanVleet and Anton Grady scored 16 points apiece and Wichita State routed Illinois State 74-58 on Saturday for its fifth-straight win.

The Shockers (23-7, 16-2 Missouri Valley) entered having already clinched their third-consecutive conference title, and snapped a two-game skid against Illinois State (18-13, 12-6).

DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell had 15 points and MiKyle McIntosh 14 to lead the Redbirds, who end their regular season tied with Evansville for second in the conference standings. The tie will be broken using Jim Sukup's RPI Report on Sunday. The team with the better RPI will be the No. 2 seed into the conference tournament.

It was tied at 20-all midway through the first half before Wichita State pulled away on a 26-8 run to close the period and build a 46-28 halftime lead. The Shockers stretched it to 25 points with 7:31 remaining and cruised from there.

>>Indiana State Downs Bradley

Devonte Brown had 24 points as Indiana State halted a six-game skid, beating Bradley 77-58 in the regular season finale on Saturday.

Brown made 6 of 10 field goals and was 11 of 15 from the line. Brenton Scott added 11 points for Indiana State (14-16, 8-10 Missouri Valley Conference).

Indiana State stretched a 37-28 halftime lead to 43-28 by scoring the first six points in the second half. The Sycamores were up 46-30 with 15:34 left and coasted to the win.

The Sycamores shot 43 percent from the floor while holding Bradley to 19-of-54 shooting. Indiana State made 26 of 38 from the free throw line. The Braves made 12 of 19 attempts.

Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye led Bradley (5-26, 3-15) with 19 points. Ronnie Suggs matched his career high for treys, making 4 of 8 on his way to 15 points for Bradley, which has lost five of seven.

>>Ohio State Upsets No. 8 Iowa

A handful of big plays erased an afternoon of mistakes as Ohio State rallied to stun No. 8 Iowa 68-64 on Sunday.

Marc Loving, Kam Williams and Keita Bates-Diop all scored in double figures for the Buckeyes, and all three had big plays down the stretch as they finished the game on a 12-2 run.

The Buckeyes won for the first time after losing spiritual leader Jae'Sean Tate to a season-ending shoulder injury. They were humbled 81-62 by No. 6 Michigan State on the same floor five days earlier in their first game without Tate.

Loving hit both ends of a 1-and-1 with less than 2 seconds to go to finish with 25 points and ice the game.

Bates-Diop added 19 points and preserved a two-point lead for Ohio State (19-11, 11-6 Big Ten) by blocking Mike Gesell's layup with under 5 seconds to go.

Gesell and Jarrod Uthoff led Iowa (20-8, 11-5) with 16 points apiece while Peter Jok had 12.

The Hawkeyes lost their third straight game and fell to 5-5 on the road this season.
