The Clinton Maroons boys baseball split a Saturday twin bill with Okaw Valley and Lexington as a part of the annual Clinton Round Robin tournament.
The Maroons lost the opener 5-2 despite strong efforts on the mound from Mac Hickman and Nolan Hickman.
Mac Hickman got the start, throwing four innings of 3-run ball, two runs were earned, allowing four hits with a walk and struck out seven.
Nolan Hickman finished the final three frames, allowing two unearned runs on a hit and struck out six to zero walks.
Christian Hunt was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Maroons and Jacob Overton was 2-for-4.
In the second game, the Maroons offense woke up on a windy and chilly Saturday morning with a seven run first inning and a 14-run outburst in the third as they routed Lexington 23-4.
Travis Osgood picked up the win on the mound, but also had a 2 RBI double to pace the offense. Travis Fryman and Wesley Conn were both 2-for-2. Fryman tallied a pair of RBIs while Conn added three RBIs.
Dalton Smith was 2-for-4 with two RBIs as well.
After the weekend split, the Maroons are 2-4 overall.
